lyrics

I can feel the first snowflakes falling,
As they land upon broken skin,
On this Christmas Eve,
Will somebody take me home?

My toes are freezing,
It would be a miracle,
Stop me from seizing up,
Down all these alleyways,
It would be a miracle.

I wake myself from this dream,
Like in the movies it’s not my scene,
No one will miss me hiding here,
I’ll be alone another year.

I can smell the smells from the turkeys,
As they drift upon morning winds,
On this Christmas day will somebody take me home?

My gums are bleeding,
It would be a miracle,
Help me stop feeding out of these alleyways,
It would be a miracle.

I wake myself from this dream,
Like in the movies it’s not my scene,
No one will miss me hiding here,
I’ll be alone another year.

about

Jay Stansfield Lancashire

Original, affecting and a tad bonkers, Jay Stansfield has charmed us with his inventive approach to songwriting.

An artist with an eccentric songcraft, wrapped up in a 60s pop sheen.

He has steadily built a bank of great songs and some amazing videos - in his fiercely independent fashion.

Jay is also fronts British postpunk band ALL HAIL HYENA who can be found here on Bandcamp.
